Adiantum aleuticum subsp. 'aleuticum (Asiatic maidenhair fern)'

Asia. The slender, purplish-black stems are 30 cms. or more in length bearing many fingered, fan-like blades which are flat and almost at right-angles to the stem. Each branch of the blade is pinnate and about 10 cms. long, with the pinnules oblong and tapering at the base. Likes a good rich, humas soil.
