About Us

We are Laura and Ed, and together we run Fibrex - a small, family-run nursery in Worcestershire dedicated to the growing of Pelargoniums.
For decades, Fibrex has been home to a remarkable collection of varieties, many rare and historic, each chosen for its character, scent, and place in the wider story of Pelargoniums. Since taking on the nursery, we have continued this work with a deep respect for what has come before, while gently shaping its future in our own way.
Our approach is slow and considered. Plants are grown with care, not rushed, and allowed the time they need to develop properly. Much of our work happens quietly - propagating, tending, observing, the small, repeated tasks that build strong, healthy plants over time.
The nursery itself sits within a series of traditional glasshouses. It is very much a working space, where young plants grow alongside older specimens, and where the seasons move steadily through the houses, from the first soft growth of spring to the warmth and scent of high summer. It’s a place shaped by routine, patience, and close attention, and one we feel incredibly fortunate to spend our days in.
At the heart of Fibrex is a belief that these plants offer something deeper than decoration. Their scents, rose, citrus, spice, resin - connect us to memory, to season, and to a way of gardening that feels both sensory and personal. Each variety holds its own character, and part of our role is simply to care for that, and to pass it on.
We grow, propagate, and send out plants from the nursery to gardeners, collectors, and those discovering Pelargoniums for the first time. Alongside this, we host a small number of workshops throughout the year to learn, and to connect more closely with the plants.
Fibrex is open by appointment only. We welcome visitors to walk through the glasshouses, to see the plants in their working environment, and to choose from the collection in a more personal and unhurried way. Keeping things this way allows space for conversation, and for a more thoughtful experience of the nursery.
Fibrex has never been about scale. For us, it is about continuing something special, carefully, thoughtfully, and with a genuine love for what we do.
