Terms and Conditions
To be able to conduct our business competently and be able to process your order we would need your name, address, telephone number and email address. Your information is only held for as long as legally necessary by law. You can request the information we hold verbally or in writing or ask to have it deleted from our database to firstname.lastname@example.org.
None of this information is used by any other party other than ourselves.
We do not hold your credit/debit card details. These details are held in a secure location with the companies that process the payments. These are PayPal & Shopify and these details are never shared with other parties.
MAIL ORDER PLANTS
All mail order Pelargoniums are grown to order in a 6cm bio-degradable pot. We usually grow plants specifically for each order, so it is advisable when ordering to select one or two alternative varieties in case we have difficulty in propagating some of the more difficult varieties. We will substitute the nearest alternative unless requested not to. If a substitute of our choice is unacceptable, you are entitled to return it within 7 days and we will reimburse the cost of the plant.
All Hedera, Fern, Hardy Geranium & Conservatory plants are grown in 9cm pots. These pots are removed when the plants are packed and replaced with a compostable bag. It is advisable to remove this bag and pot your plants on as soon as possible as the bags will start to breakdown quite rapidly.
The fact that we accept an order and payment does not guarantee that every plant will be available at the time of execution. Your order will be acknowledged by an automated email. However, once we have received and processed your order we will send you an acknowledgement of the availability.
Each order is treated individually. Seperate and/or additional orders cannot subsequently be combined as one consignment. Requests for multiple orders to be combined will incur an additional fee to cover the extra administration & handling.
All plants are pot grown and dispatched by Royal Mail letter post or next day courier because speed is essential once the plants are packed. On receipt of plants, open the box/boxes immediately. Pot on into larger pots leaving the bio-degradable pot on the plant - the roots will grow through this. Always use a good quality, fresh potting compost, for example, a John Innes no 2 or multi-purpose compost. We do not recommend a peat-free compost for these plants as they will not grow well in it. They can also be planted straight out into the garden or into tubs still with the bio-degradable pot on (remembering that the pelargoniums will not withstand frost). If you are growing plants in pots after four weeks, water regularly with a high potash feed (tomato feed) once every 10 days during the late Spring and Summer.

Payment will be taken from your account on receipt of your order. However please note we may not be able to dispatch your order within the statutory 30 days because the plants are being grown specifically for you, and depending on the time of the year the order is given the dispatch of the plants might vary from 2 months to 6 months.
Cheques (made payable to Fibrex Nurseries Ltd) will be banked on receipt of order. We regret we are no longer able to accept orders of less than 5 plants for dispatch by post. We will supply any number, however small, of plants collected from the Nursery.
DELAYING YOUR ORDER
Should you wish to delay your order for any reason, we must be notified by midday on the Friday before the dispatch date.
You are entitled to cancel your order from the day of ordering until the date of dispatch. However, because of the nature of the goods, once we have dispatched your plants, under section 13, paragraph 1c of the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) regulation 2000, goods that are made to the consumer specifications or are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly means your statutory 7 working days cooling off period is void. Before dispatch, plants are examined and packed with great care to ensure that they arrive in perfect condition. Once the plants have been delivered safely the ownership has passed from us to the customer. We cannot be responsible for the health of plants when they are grown in conditions not under our control, although we are quite prepared to give advice on growing problems.
If your plants are not in good condition upon receipt because of damage or delay, notify us by letter (first class) or email to firstname.lastname@example.org upon receipt of your plants, giving the date of arrival of the parcel, conditions of plants and a photograph of the plants on arrival if possible. Please retain the box and contents so, if necessary, they are available for inspection. Complaints cannot be entertained unless these conditions are adhered to and are made within 7 days of receipt of your order. If we deem there to be sufficient evidence to prove that the plants are at fault, in due course, the plants will be replaced free of charge. We cannot be responsible for the future health of plants when plants are grown in conditions beyond our control although we are quite prepared to give advice on growing problems. If the plants are not at fault but a refund is still required, the plants must be returned in their original packaging and in good condition within 7 days of receipt.
We use DPD overnight delivery as our courier service. Once your order is booked into their system you will receive tracking emails and/or text messages at every stage of its progress from us to you. If you wish to make any changes to your delivery details you can do this by going onto the DPD website and use your tracking number to log in and make those changes. If there is a problem with delivery due to there being no one at home at the time of delivery, a calling card will be left and we will receive photographic proof of this. If you have not received your order and you are expecting delivery by DPD, you must get in touch with us within 3 days of the date given.
If your order is expected to be delivered by Royal Mail and you have not received it, then you must get in touch with us within 7 working days of the expected delivery date.
Once the plants have been delivered the ownership has passed from us to the customer.
These include cost of the box, packing and Royal Mail letter post for small orders or Private Courier (DPD) overnight service for orders of 6 plants and above.
With regret we are unable to ship to Northern Ireland or the Channel Islands due to the Royal Mail service not being reliable.
DROP SHIPPING: UK & EU ORDERS.
In the event that you wish to place an order and have it delivered to a second address. We are able to provide this service BUT only to UK addresses. Should the plants ordered from us then be moved on to an address outside of the UK we cannot be held responsible for the customs terms of their final destination. Under these circumstances the order is taken out entirely at the customers own risk and refunds will not be given.
