PRIVACY POLICY

In order to fulfil our services efficiently and process your order with care, we collect essential personal information, including your name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.

Your data is retained only for as long as is required to meet legal and regulatory obligations. You may request access to the information we hold, or request its removal from our records, either verbally or in writing, by contacting us at sales@fibrex.co.uk.

We do not share your personal information with any third parties.

For your security, we do not store credit or debit card details. All payment information is processed and securely held by our trusted payment providers, PayPal and Shopify, and is never accessible to or shared by us.

MAIL ORDER PLANTS

All mail order Pelargoniums are grown specifically to order in 6cm biodegradable pots. As many plants are propagated individually for each customer, we recommend selecting one or two alternative varieties at the time of ordering, particularly for those that are more challenging to propagate.

Where necessary, we will substitute with the closest suitable alternative unless instructed otherwise. If a substitute is not acceptable, it may be returned within 7 days for a full refund of the plant cost.

Acceptance of an order and payment does not guarantee the availability of every plant at the time of fulfilment. Orders are acknowledged by automated email upon receipt.

Each order is processed individually. Separate or additional orders cannot be combined into a single consignment. Requests to consolidate orders may incur an additional administrative and handling fee.

All plants are pot-grown and dispatched via next-day courier, as prompt delivery is essential once packed. Upon arrival, parcels should be opened immediately. Plants should be potted on into larger containers, leaving the biodegradable pot intact, allowing roots to establish naturally through it.

We recommend using a high-quality compost such as John Innes No. 2 or a suitable multi-purpose mix. Peat-free composts are not advised, as they may hinder optimal growth. Plants may also be planted directly into the garden or containers, ensuring protection from frost.

For plants grown in pots, begin feeding after four weeks using a high-potash fertiliser (such as tomato feed) every 10 days during late spring and summer.

PAYMENT

We accept payment by cheque or credit/debit card via PayPal or Shopify. For alternative payment methods, please contact us at sales@fibrex.co.uk.

Payment is taken at the time of ordering. However, as plants are grown specifically for each order, dispatch may not occur within the statutory 30-day period. Depending on the season, delivery times may vary between 2 to 6 months.

Cheques (payable to Plant it Plant Ltd) are banked upon receipt. Please note that we are unable to process postal orders for fewer than five plants. Smaller quantities may be purchased directly from the nursery.

DELAYING YOUR ORDER

If you wish to delay your order, notification must be received by midday on the Friday preceding the scheduled dispatch date.

DISPATCH & RETURNS

You may cancel your order at any time prior to dispatch. However, due to the perishable and bespoke nature of our plants, the standard 7-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 does not apply once goods have been dispatched.

All plants are carefully inspected and packed to ensure they arrive in excellent condition. Responsibility for the plants transfers to the customer upon successful delivery.

If your plants arrive in unsatisfactory condition due to damage or delay, please notify us within 7 days of receipt via email or first-class post, including:

  • Date of delivery
  • Description of condition
  • Photographic evidence (where possible)

Please retain all packaging for potential inspection. Claims cannot be considered unless these conditions are met.

Where valid, we will arrange a replacement at no cost. If a refund is requested for non-fault issues, plants must be returned in their original packaging and in good condition within 7 days.

While we are always happy to provide guidance, we cannot be responsible for plant performance once grown in conditions beyond our control.

COURIER

We use Royal Mail 24h Tracked service for all shipments. Once your order is dispatched, you will receive tracking updates via email and/or SMS.

Delivery preferences can be amended directly through the Royal Mail website using your tracking number. If delivery is unsuccessful, a calling card will be left, and photographic confirmation recorded.

If you have not received your order as expected, please contact us within 3 days of the stated delivery date.

Ownership of the plants transfers to the customer upon delivery.

SHIPPING CHARGES

Shipping charges include the cost of packaging materials, handling, and DPD courier delivery.

DROP SHIPPING (UK & EU ORDERS)

We are able to deliver orders to an alternative UK address upon request. However, if plants are subsequently forwarded outside the UK, we cannot accept responsibility for customs regulations or conditions at the final destination.

Such arrangements are made entirely at the customer’s risk, and refunds will not be issued under these circumstances.
