Green tri-lobed leaves with a large dark brown medallion in the centre of the leaf. The leaf is scented peppermint with something extra. It always reminds me of the sweets, chocolate limes. The flowers are small and palest mauve. It makes a very handsome container plant, filling a pot all by itself.
Thought to be a hybrid of P. tomentosum x P. quercifolium. Introduced in the 1970’s.
Plants are supplied in a 6cm biodegradable pot. There is no need to remove this pot as roots will grow thorough it and the pot, which is made of fibre, will degrade harmlessly into the compost.
